The Nokia 5110 LCD from Pro Tronix is a repurposed classic from the mobile phone era, now optimized for the maker community. Unlike character LCDs (like the 1602) which only display fixed letters, this is a Graphic LCD, meaning you have control over every single one of its 4,032 pixels.

Built around the PCD8544 controller, it uses a low-power CMOS design. It is highly prized for handheld devices because the screen is reflective; the brighter the sun, the easier it is to read. It features a gentle backlight for dark environments and communicates via a fast SPI interface, providing a smooth refresh rate for simple animations or real-time graphing.
