Description
The Traffic Light LED Display Module is an intuitive, easy-to-use visual indicator board designed to simulate real-world traffic signals, industrial status monitoring, and educational automation projects. Built with three high-brightness 8mm light-emitting diodes (Red, Yellow, and Green), this module provides clear, high-visibility status signaling for custom control systems.
Featuring a common cathode architecture, the module routes all three LEDs to a single ground pin while providing individual signal control pins for each color channel. With built-in current-limiting resistors on board, it interfaces directly with 3.3V and 5V digital logic outputs from microcontrollers like Arduino, ESP32, STM32, and Raspberry Pi without requiring extra external components. It is an ideal choice for building miniature traffic light simulations, automated gate barriers, machine status towers, and STEM mechatronics projects.
⚠️ Logic Level & Wiring Tip: This module utilizes a Common Cathode (GND) configuration. Connect the GND pin to your microcontroller ground, and pull any signal pin (R, Y, G) HIGH with a digital output pin to illuminate the corresponding LED. Built-in current-limiting resistors allow safe operation directly from 3.3V or 5V logic pins.
