Product Description

The Turbidity Water Quality Sensor Module is an electro-optical fluid analysis sensor engineered to measure water clarity, suspended particle concentration, and total suspended solids (TSS) in liquid solutions. Operating on the principle of optical transmission and scattering, the sensor housing contains an infrared LED emitter paired with a phototransistor receiver. As the concentration of suspended particles, silt, or debris in the liquid increases, the light transmittance drops, producing a proportional change in the output signal.

The module includes a dedicated signal processing breakout board that delivers both an Analog Output (AO) for precise percentage-based clarity calculations and a Digital Output (DO) with an adjustable trigger threshold via an on-board potentiometer. Operating on a 5V DC supply, it interfaces seamlessly with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, STM32, and Raspberry Pi. It is an essential component for building automated water purification systems, smart washing machines, environmental river monitoring stations, and industrial liquid quality testers.

⚠️ Usage & Waterproofing Tip: The optical probe head is designed for liquid immersion, but the connection cable junction and the top processing PCB board are not waterproof. Keep the processing module board completely dry and mounted above the maximum liquid line to prevent short circuits and board damage.
