Product Overview
The I2C Serial Interface Adapter from Pro Tronix is an essential tool for any developer tired of the “spaghetti wiring” associated with traditional LCDs. Standard 1602 LCDs typically require at least 6 digital pins plus power and contrast wiring, which can quickly consume all available pins on an Arduino Nano or Uno.
By soldering this adapter to the back of your LCD, you enable the I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) protocol. This allows you to control the screen using only the two dedicated I2C pins. Additionally, the board features a built-in potentiometer for easy contrast adjustment and a jumper to enable or disable the backlight via software.
