The 12V 1/2″ Water Solenoid Valve from Pro Tronix is an electromechanically operated valve used to control the flow of liquids. As a Normally Closed (NC) valve, it remains shut when power is disconnected, preventing any water from passing through. When 12V DC is applied, the internal solenoid creates a magnetic field that lifts the plunger, allowing water to flow.

Designed with a durable plastic body and standard 1/2″ pipe threading, it integrates easily with common plumbing fixtures. This valve is “Pressureless” (Direct Action/Low Pressure), meaning it can operate effectively even in gravity-fed systems or low-pressure environments where pilot-operated valves might fail.
