The flexible helical spring acts as an extended capacitive sensing surface that can touch plastic, acrylic, glass, or ceramic overlay panels directly, allowing you to design sleek, fully sealed, water-resistant touch panels without drilling holes for physical buttons. Operating on a wide voltage supply of 2.7V to 6V DC, this module delivers a clean digital switching signal that connects directly to microcontrollers like Arduino, ESP32, STM32, and Raspberry Pi. ⚠️ Enclosure Overlay Tip: The metal spring can be compressed slightly against the back of non-conductive overlay materials (like clear acrylic or glass up to 3mm thick). Avoid bringing metallic objects or unshielded wiring within close proximity to the spring coil, as this can alter baseline capacitance and trigger false touch inputs.
