STM32F103C8T6 “Blue Pill” ARM Cortex-M3 Development Board | Pro Tronix
Product Description
The STM32F103C8T6 “Blue Pill” is a high-performance, budget-friendly ARM Cortex-M3 development board engineered for advanced embedded systems, robotics, and real-time control applications. Powered by STMicroelectronics’ 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 core operating at frequencies up to 72 MHz, the Blue Pill delivers significantly higher processing power, faster clock speed, and expanded peripheral options compared to traditional 8-bit AVR microcontrollers.
Featuring 64 KB of Flash memory and 20 KB of SRAM, this compact board includes a rich set of integrated hardware peripherals, including dual 12-bit ADCs, multiple 16-bit timers, hardware PWM generation, and dedicated hardware communication buses (SPI, I2C, USART, and USB 2.0 Full-Speed). Designed with standard 2.54 mm header pins in a slim DIP layout, it plugs directly into solderless breadboards for rapid circuit prototyping. It can be programmed using standard ARM toolchains like STM32CubeIDE and Keil uVision, or easily integrated into the familiar Arduino IDE environment using the STM32duino core.
⚠️ Programming & Bootloader Tip: The Blue Pill requires an external ST-Link V2 programmer or USB-to-TTL serial adapter (such as an FT232RL or CP2102) for firmware flashing. Ensure the yellow bootloader jumpers are set correctly: for standard execution from Flash, set BOOT0 to 0 and BOOT1 to 0. To flash firmware via UART serial bootloader, move BOOT0 to 1.
